The Exhibition Tradition is Innovation wishes to present a point of view about the present and future of portuguese architecture. 8 architecture studios present their creative process, critical thought and responsibility as architects regarding the contemporary society, in video-interview format.
Tradition is Innovation presents 15 projects, built in the last 5 years, by the architecture offices of Eduardo Souto de Moura, João Ventura Trindade, Ricardo Carvalho and Joana Vilhena, Ricardo Bak Gordon, Manuel Aires Mateus, Inês Vieira da Silva e Miguel Vieira, João Luís Carrilho da Graça e Nuno Brandão Costa, which reflect a particular political, economical and territorial context.
With an experimental exhibition structure - video-interview - this exhibition wishes to question “What is an architecture exhibition?”.
